📖 Overview
Griffon Peak is a moderate 4.2 km out-and-back trail that begins near the Jal Shakti Vibhag section in Katnidhi, just above the IIT Mandi campus. Named by students after the Himalayan Griffon Vultures that soar overhead, the trail winds through dense pine and oak forests, offering views of both the North and South campuses, as well as the Uhl River valley. It’s a favorite among students, faculty, and birdwatchers, and is accessible year-round.
