“Where the trees whisper legends, and the lake holds centuries of wishes.”
📖 Overview
The Kamrunag Lake Trek is a 6–7 km forest trail that begins from Rohanda village and ascends to the Kamrunag Lake (3,300 m / 10,827 ft)—a sacred, elliptical-shaped waterbody surrounded by pine and oak forests. At its edge stands the roofless shrine of Dev Kamrunag, believed to be a Yaksha king from the Mahabharata, worshipped by locals as the guardian of rain and justice. The lake is famed for its submerged offerings of gold and silver coins, tossed in by devotees over centuries.
