Explore Kangra
Dharamshala, McLeod Ganj, Kangra Valley, temples, tea gardens & Dhauladhar trails
Kangra is one of Himachal Pradesh’s most diverse travel districts — a wide Himalayan valley shaped by the Dhauladhar range, ancient Shakti temples, Buddhist monasteries, Kangra Fort, Masroor rock-cut temples, Dharamshala, McLeod Ganj, Palampur tea gardens, Bir-Billing, Kareri Lake and peaceful village routes.
A district of sacred flames, mountain monasteries, old forts, tea valleys and Dhauladhar adventures.
Kangra brings together many different moods of Himachal in one district. You can begin with the spiritual energy of Jwala Ji, Chamunda Devi, Brajeshwari Devi and Baijnath, then move toward the heritage depth of Kangra Fort and Masroor Rock Cut Temple.
Further uphill, Dharamshala and McLeod Ganj bring Tibetan culture, monasteries, cafés, forests and views of the Dhauladhar range. Toward Palampur and Bir, the journey becomes softer with tea gardens, paragliding routes, village stays, riverside walks and access to mountain trails.
